TCC organizes In-Service Training!

Talisay City College (TCC) just launched a 7-day In-Service Training (INSET) for teachers last May 2017 in preparation for the Academic Year. The fundamental purpose thereof, in general, according to TCC SAS office assistant, Ms. Nhikie M. Del Socorro, is primarily to equip teachers with knowledge and skills thereby making them competent to train students holistically. 

"It is a 7-day training targeting the top priorities needed by the teacher and the topic [sic.] were based on the survey conducted by the research and faculty development office,"
she said. 

Although it has been the culture of TCC to conduct INSET, on a regular basis, as the sine qua non for teachers' orientation, The current President, Dr. Richel N. Bacaltos, fortifies the training by inviting credentialed, well-attested speakers for the continuous development of the professional staff in TCC. 

On the first day, Dr. Omar Tan gave his comprehensive talk on Higher Education Pedagogy: A Must in TCC. He presented his research and proposed his cogent resolve. And on the following day, the interaction continues, the subject matter revolves around Grading System and Constructing Test Questions. 

Meanwhile, Dr. Fe Cuenco, on the next day, delivered a lecture on Work Ethics, followed by, Dr. Corazon de Jesus-Uy on the Profiling of Students. Later on, the staff went for a school visit at Sisters of Mary. Then, lastly, on the fifth day, they were afforded to join a seminar on Socialization at Paulo Luna Resort.
